Porter's Birthday

Porter wanted a dinosaur cake. He and Grandpa Blake decided to share birthdays. The cake didn't turn out at all. . . trust me. However, Porter loved it and it IS just a cake.

I am so grateful for my sweet Porter. He is such a ray of sunshine. He loves to work hard and do new projects. He is my little man.

We had friends over on his actual birthday. He chose dinosaur cookies.

Snow Again!

Isn't our house just so beautiful? I think it is so charming. I will be so sad to let it go in a year.

Snow man and wife. They lasted only a few hours and then the wind blew them over.
I love cardinals in the winter. It is a true reminder that beauty is everywhere and spring is not that far away.

I Spy Jars

During all the snow we had a lot of time not in school and we decided to make I spy jars. We had a ton of fun.

Temple

So we had a friend who was going to the temple for the first time and since I couldn't get a babysitter (or so I thought) I went with the kids to the visitors center while Matt went in. A nice woman offered to take a picture. So there I am. The kids loved the Christus, especially Makelle. She just walked around it and watched again and again.

Cleaning

So on cleaning days the kids get the liberty of running amuck and watching an enormous amount of Land before time. Unfortunately Chase usually gives up on me at some point before he gets lunch and crashes for a few minutes.

Yum. . .

I see so many blogs of the sweetest of sweets and I LOVE THEM. I want to try them. Not just to eat but to decorate too, although eating would have to be involved. So I decided to make my first attempt at a new technique. Don't get me wrong, I bake ALL the time and I run to make up for it, but I want to try new ideas to see if I can be artsy. . . a dream that I always wanted to be. . . the results by the way, didn't make the photo shoot b/c I had to get them out the door to be donated, but the beginning pictures inspire me. By the way, if you had not noticed, I think I like bright colors.

Pamper's Commercial?

Chase is walking. Even though it was mid December when I took this picture and freezing outside I couldn't help but run for the camera and grab this photo. Who couldn't love this chubs with a drool line from smile to diaper?
