Piano Recital Take 2

We had our Christmas piano recital. The kids did awesome! Abbies kindergarten teacher even came which was so exciting for Abbie and I. She is in the background. She is one of the most exquisite women I have ever met.

Colored Pancakes and Gingerbread Houses

We have had more time inside lately land have made some fun things.

Birthday Girl

Makelle had a birthday too. She is three and a beautiful three. She has been such a joy.

Birthday Boy

Chase had his first birthday. He LOVED his cake! He hadn't really been given any sweet things, except fruit until he tried the cake, so it was funny to watch him taste and then dig in. (some of the pictures are sideways, they were recovered from a disaster and I haven't figured out how to make them right)

SNOW!?!

Chase really, really wanted to go outside too.

I even had a snowball thrown at me.

Snow going in. . .

Snow going out. . . too cold.

It was so good, Abbie had to kneel down and taste it from the ground.

To deep to really walk in for Makelle. She needed lots of help from Dad.

It only snows here maybe once a year, maybe. . . and it never lasts more than a few hours. But on Friday, the day school let out, it started to snow. It snowed and snowed and snowed. I was excited until someone told me I would probably lose power. Then Matt called me on the way home from work and said he had to take call that night also. Thankfully we didn't lose power and Matt was safe traveling to and from work. So after he got home Saturday morning the kids and he went outside to play. Chase and I stayed inside. Still, Chase had his first taste of snow . . . literally.
